Hi everyone!
2016 will be a very special year for us. For quite some time we have been dreaming of going on a long journey. Ideally, it should be the Panamericana - the road network connecting Alaska with Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost tip of South America. It turned out that 2016 would be the perfect year for this adventure. Currently, we are in the midst of the preparations. We plan to leave at the end of March and stay in the Americas for roughly 9 months. We have decided not to rush through all the Panamericana's 26'000 km. Instead we take it slowly. For this reason we'll start our journey by bicycle. The approximate plan is to fly to Los Angeles from where we will start cycling northwards. We hope to reach Anchorage by August or September. After that, we have neither decided on an itinerary nor the means of transportation: most probably we'll skip Central America, fly to e.g. Quito or Lima and travel southwards with rental cars, busses,... or the bikes again :-). On this homepage, we would like to keep you updated and share our experiences with you. Are you ready to come along with us?
